How To Stop Pop Ups LG V20

Method A

Pop Ups are the unwanted messages or sites that comes onto your while browsing or just simply. You can stop this popup easily and this can be done in very simple steps. If you are using the LG V20 Smartphone then you might be facing this issue.

To disable the popup check the box in the agreements and contract in the terms and conditions. Once you agree to the terms and conditions you can open the contacts app and select on your profile. Now select on the profile sharing toggle and set the toggle to disable the new enhanced feature and this will stop the Popup’s in an easy manner. Now enjoy while using your phone.

Method B

1. Open the Chrome, the default browser on Android.

2. Tap More (the three vertical dots) at the top-right of the screen.

3. Touch Settings.

4. Scroll down to Site settings.

5. Touch Pop-Ups to get to the slider that turns off pop-ups.

6. Touch the slider button again to disable the feature.

If you want more aggressive pop-up or advertisement blocking, then you’ll need to go with a third-party browser. Unlike Chrome for the desktop, the mobile version of Chrome for Android currently does not work with any plugins. However, alternatives like Firefox and Samsung Internet do.

One offering is Ghostery, which is a popular blocker and privacy-focused extension. On Android, it comes in the form of a full-blown browser that gives you visibility of the types of trackers that are on websites. Here’s how to block pop-ups using that app. (Again, this method will work in Oreo just as it works in Nougat.)

1. Touch the Settings cog.

2. Touch Block Popups.

Additionally, you can go to Ghostery > Tracker Blocking Options and then select Block Everything for the most aggressive blocking option.

This will reduce the chance that you’ll see any pesky pop-ups that will ruin your mobile browsing experience.

Competing browsers offer a similar function, but Ghostery has the most aggressive reputation at blocking nuisances like pop-ups. On the other hand, Google’s work with Chrome ensures it will likely be a fast option and integrate deeply with Android, so using that browser with blocking turned on is also a solid choice.

While it doesn’t seem like Chrome will allow third-party ad blockers anytime soon, Google has confirmed it will introduce support for the Better Ads Experience Program in Chrome starting Feb. 15. Through this system, Chrome will automatically remove ads that breach the Coalition for Better Ads’ criteria. It’s not a full replacement for a dedicated plugin, but it’s better than nothing.

Method C

Removing ads with a third-party application on your LG V20

Some applications such as ‘Adblock Plus’, ‘AdAway’, or ‘Adblocker’ for surfing on the internet, allow you to get rid of advertisements on your LG V20. If you’re looking for ‘Adblock’, ‘ABP’ or ‘Ad Blocker’ in the Play Store of your LG V20, you will usually find only web browsers that do not allow you to block ads in applications or some of the most famous browsers. Indeed, advertising companies are pulling a great share of their profit from mobile advertising, and so they tend not to push such blockers on your Play Store. So you have to manually install such an ad blocker on your LG V20. Here’s how to do it below.

Prepare your LG V20 to install an advertising blocker

By default, your LG V20 does not allow you to install applications outside the Google Play Store. However, you can configure it to install your ad blocker. To do so, simply click on ‘Settings’ on the main screen of your LG V20. Then go to the ‘Security’ submenu. Then, you will need to check ‘Unknown Sources’ to allow your LG V20 to install an application outside of your Play Store. Once validated, you can go to the second step below.

Install the ad blocker on your LG V20

To install the ad blocker, simply go to your favorite search engine with your web browser from your LG V20. Once there, you will be able to type ‘smartphone ad blocker’, and you will have access to a large choice of applications and download links. You will then have to download an ‘apk’ file, corresponding to the application you want to install. We invite you to read carefully the elements on each of the download pages. The previous step have allowed you to install ‘apk’ files on your LG V20. Simply go to the folder where the file was downloaded and follow the instructions. Once the steps have been validated, you will normally have blocked and removed advertisements on your LG V20.

Clean up your LG V20 to avoid malware and intrusive ads

In many cases, intrusive advertisements on your LG V20 come from malware installed on your phone. These software can be included in games or any other applications. We advise you to use an application to clean your LG V20, such as ‘Ccleaner’ or by typing ‘remove malware’ in the Play Store search bar of your LG V20. Check the notation and comments of these applications before installing them. We do not detail in this tutorial the operation of each of these applications, but you will probably be able to use your LG V20 more freely once this cleaning done.

The last, more brutal solution is to reboot with the factory settings of your LG V20. Called ‘factory reset’ or ‘hard reset’, this will allow you to get rid of any malicious software installed on your phone. Please refer to our ‘Factory Restart’ section for safe operation. In particular, you will have to make a backup of your data or if you do not want to lose all your personal data with this factory restart. We hope that this tutorial about removing advertisements on your LG V20 has allowed you to block intrusive ads.
