Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until the Maintenance Boot Mode screen appears (approx. 10 seconds).

From the Maintenance Boot Mode screen, select Power down.

Utilize the volume buttons to cycle through the available options and the Home button (located below the display) to select.

OR

1. Wait for a response from your phone; it may automatically reset after around 1 minute.

2. If it remains frozen, press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys at the same time. Do this for around 7 seconds.

3. The phone will vibrate and eventually restart.

This simple step by step process results in a soft reset. But if your phone needs system maintenance, resetting it may lead to a “safe mode” screen. Simply navigate through the options with the volume screen and select “Normal Boot” with the Home button.
